The Braunston will pass North due to pass Finsbury Park 09:38, Harringay, Hornsey then Alexandra Palace at 09:43.

Then back South due at Alexandra Palace 22:01 and Finsbury Park 22:07.

It says on the links there that it's a diesel.  I want my momentary thrill back.

That is odd. I think that is wrong, this link shows steam: http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t14/t0323a.htm as does this one:  http://www.railwaytouring.net/uk-day-trips/peak-forester

You're both right: the Real Time Trains site always reports steam-hauled trains as diesel hauled, presumably taking Network Rail's operating data verbatim. Hope you both saw it, I realised too late and only (just) heard it from the garden. Doh!

And sometimes diesel-hauled is true: 'Tornado' just now went through Harringay, on its way to Didcot after its overhaul in the North. But it was towed by a diesel (which wasn't indicated on the uksteam.info site); so no picture worth posting.
