My neighbour has what we have identifed as a Tibetan tree peony growing by my fence. It looks like this one:
Two summers ago I collected seed from it and last year potted some of them up. Actually, nothing seemed to happen and I put the whole tray into a black plastic bag and left it in a wheel barrow all winter. I have just discovered that I have a few seedlings. They look a bit leggy but are quite robust. I have planted out four to see what happens. I have several more so if anyone fancies growing one, please get in touch. They are free. I also have some more seeds, collected last year.

I would love to grab one please - you can get me on 07950334677. iAny idea which variety it is?
Jeremy
I have one of these and they do seem to self-seed but are not in the least invasive. Their flowering season is quite short and I'd advise getting one for its foliage rather than the flowers.
To be clear. There are 6 single and 4 double seedlings. They are not all equally attractive.
Request have arrived with me from:
Kemal, Jeremy, Scunch, Sam, Laurence and Bridget. So there are enough to go round but first comers get to choose.
So far only Kemal has collected his.
I have a purple/reddish tree peony that scents the whole garden and is just finishing flowering. I'll gladly swap you some seeds from this for a seedling or two if you have any left. If not, you can still have the seeds.
