Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

HOL Flower Show - January (aka. what's good in your garden *now*)

Brrr... January. I feel obliged to post a 'placeholder' here though currently at the start of January my garden is freezing cold and in deep hibernation (a lot can happen in a month though).

FAQ
  • What's it all about? See here.
  • Great - where can I see all the 'shows'? See here.
  • Can I contribute? Most welcome. If you can make the image file size modest (say less than 100k), it will be quicker to upload and view.

If anybody has any contributions (eg. Cyclamen?) then post below - in the meantime here is some music...

Just to add that now know the top flower is the romantic sounding winter heliotrope. Apparently originally from Africa, but has spread throughout Europe. It is supposed to smell but I haven't braved the cold enough to get that near it ...
Last week in the frosts when Fatsia and Euphorbia were wilting, the Euonymus and Phormium manage to remain unfazed.

Yesterday in the sunshine, the Photinia Red Robin makes it look as though Spring is imminent...
