Dear gardeners,
If you have spare plants or seedlings, the South Harringay plant stall will gladly take them off your hands. All types of flowers, veg, cacti happily accepted. The school fair is on the 21st June 2014
Please message me if you can help

A bit cheeky to parasitise your post Liz, but I'm running the Plant Stall at Rokesly School Fair which is the week after: Sat 28th. I'm wondering if we could have any plants you don't need or any left over after the end of your fair? We'd consider anything!
We could do with extra supplies cos we're a bit low on plants compared to previous years. Various reasons for this but one is that a lot - though not all - of the seedlings I'm growing seem affected by a strange yellowy, stunted condition, or just won't grow properly. I can only think has come from some of the compost I sowed the seeds into. It was J Arthur Bowers Organic Peat-Free, bought at the Sunshine Garden Centre in Feb or March - what I always use and most years gives good results. I've heard before of bad batches of compost arising when herbicide-treated plants find their way into the composting mix. That really shouldn't happen with organic compost, but has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
David
We usually sell out to the green-fingered Harringay gardeners but I'll certainly pass on anything not needed.
Many thanks.
