Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Any idea about what this plant is?

It was given to me by my aunty who thought it was a citrus plant. Definitely not citrus but I have no idea. It seems to be very happy in our sheltered north facing garden. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to find out?

Looks like a sarcococca ruscifolia

That's it! It had white flowers in the summer and the berries look almost identical. Mystery solved!

Yes Sarcocca for sure. Lovely plants. The flowers should smell gorgeous.

Thank you all. I even tried a plant identification app, but HoL is better than AI! Very new to gardening so learning by doing at the moment.
