Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hallo! Has anyone got any green tomatoes that they're not going to use?  I've had a poor harvest this year but still want to make chutney, and so I'd be very grateful for any that people want to give away.  I'll happily exchange for a jar of very tasty spicy tomato chutney ..when it's made!

Thanks

Jo

Hi Joanna!

So I was just looking at our green tomatoes today, thinking about whether there's enough to make chutney making worthwhile... and then I saw your post!

Hard to say how many we have, but probably a large cereal bowl full ( 8-10 of various sizes?)

If you think this will help your making, would love to donate them in exchange for a jar.

We're on Hillfield Ave, Hornsey High St end, but can drop them round.

Oh how I love harringay online!

Snap! Have a cereal bowl full of green cherry tomatoes.  Was also thinking of making chutney but not enoough so you are very welcome to them. We are on the ladder. Sarah

Me too, but found a Nigel Slater chutney recipe that mixes ripe with green, so I'm going to make a few jars for Christmas. I still have plants cropping and I'm happy to bring some along to the seed swap at the Salsbury tmw evening?

I've got some too - was planning on trying to make some chutney but I know I'll never get around to it so you're welcome to them.

That's fab, many thanks to you all!

I'll be at the seed swap tomorrow evening so will see you there Vix,  and I'll get in touch with people individually (probably weds evening as my life's getting a bit busy at the moment!) about collecting.

Happy monday!

Jo

Sadly I will not be at the seed swap tomorrow as I am out, but if any one has any green tomatoes left please do let me know as I would be happy to take them off your hands- I am hoping this week is chutney making week.
