Please note.
Just had this via facebook.
"My flat mate was attacked last night at the top of the ally near the seven sisters road entrance to the warehouses by a Turkish looking guy with short spiky hair and wild looking eyes. I know it is not the best description but please to all women reading this be careful there is a person out there targeting women between the hours of midnight onwards.
Would suggest you have a handy phone number of someone around that knows about the situation and can respond quickly. Carry your keys in your hand etc......"

Hi Hugh,
Sorry browser crashed. It's my page, the other is a closed group.
I can message you the comments so far.
:) There's lots of it Hugh.
The message thing here does not like my pasting I'm afraid but in short, several women have been followed, chased or grabbed, in one case punched, by a "crazy looking turkish guy". In one case a friend was chased to a cab and the assailant seemed to be trying to run after it!
I think one problem has been people brushing it off as another piece of inner city craziness rather than report to the police.
Yes, reports should certainly go the police. There's a temptation not to want to fuss, but not reporting increases the chances of it happening to someone else.........but you know that. :o)
Have the police been involved at all as far as you know?
Hi Hugh and Abi,
Can't paste directly into the message thing here at the moment I'm afraid, will experiment with plain text and message you both if it works. The police were informed on the latest attack i.e. last night, this is what I started the thread with. I suspect not that much before.
Hi chaps,
Spoke to the sexworkers' project, they are going to patrol and speak to the girls and pass any info on. If you wanna know what really goes down in a hood speak to the sexworkers.
No one else has reported anything, looks like random and opportunist attacks.
Hugh - I saw an email addy for you flash up briefly btw but god know's where it was!
