Hi All!

I'm Liz Douglas and I run the Enfield branch of the voluntary, non-profit recycling/reuse charity  ilovefreegle.org - Freegle means 'Free Giving Locally Easily' and has only one goal 'To Stop Good Stuff Going to Landfill' and in doing that support our local communities.

You can offer and/or request just about anything so long as it's free and legal. Freegle is run entirely on Yahoo Groups who are our web providers because we don't have much regular funding. You'll find over 350 groups and more than 1.5 million members giving away stuff they no longer want and/or getting stuff they do. It's free to join and free to use! You'll also find us on Facebook and Twitter. There are very few rules on Freegle but here are a few

No Live Animals

No Swapping, Lending or Borrowing

No Selling - 

No Spamming - All posts on Freegle Enfield are moderated so even hackers can't post if they get into your account.

Using our 'Find a Group' link just plug in your area or your postcode and it will bring up all the groups in your area including Enfield, Hackney, Islington and many more. You must be prepared to pick up any items you've requested. You may not ask members to deliver items although they can offer to do this for you.  Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions?

You might also be interested to hear that Freegle actively encourage Schools, Colleges, Uni's Community Groups, Homeless Resource Center's, Church or other religious out reach groups, Hostels, Temporary Accommodation, Charities, Other non-profits and many more who can apply to join to get the resources they need also completely free of charge although you will have to provide contact details so we can confirm your ID
