Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello, this is my first post and I've just started using this site so please tell me if this is the wrong category but I suppose yoga and massage are technically services?!

I've found a really great yoga teacher next to Turnpike Lane, and a fantastic massage/sports therapist in Crouch End, am I ok to go ahead and post the websites and details here?

Thanks,

Els

As long as you're not affiliated with them and are posting a genuine review, you're most welcome to.

I can vouch for Els - and certainly for the massage therapist she's referring to as well!

A cartel of reviewers. Lucky businesses!

LOL, well not for the yoga teacher - I've never been there, but the sports massage guy, Manual, is brilliant. Plus, he taught me a neat trick with a tennis ball for using at home.

Oh hi Fi! I should have realised you'd be on here :)

Thanks for the verification...

So now I'm certified as a legitimate community member (I think) the details are:

Massage N8 http://www.massagen8.co.uk/

You can read my review to see exactly how brilliant I think Manuel is, suffice to say that I wish I could have all the money I've paid other massage/sports therapists, physios etc over the last 15 years and give it all to him!

Yoga http://yogapod.wordpress.com/about/

I found about YogaPod on twitter through the science community as Nicole has degrees in physiology and pharmacology. I was looking for something in the way of yoga or pilates that'd help with my back/knee/hip/shoulder (I have metal in my spine, it's a long story) but am not really interested in the spiritual side of it. These classes fit the bill perfectly and because it's a private studio rather than a gym class you get lots of one on one time and a more personalised approach.

I'd definitely recommend a combination on Manuel and Nicole to anyone feeling a bit stiff/sore/deskbound!

Finally, a quick question (although this is undoubtedly the wrong forum) has anyone been to the local Swing Patrol?

I've never been to the local one (can't make it back up to Green Lanes from work on time) but I have been to a few others across London and they have always been great.  The standard of teachers is universally high, the group is always really welcoming and a mixture of newbies and old hands, and its really good fun - I'd definitely recommend giving it a go..
