Hi
I was wondering if anyone who does yoga could recommend a local class. I did try a session at Yoga Junction in Crouch End which I enjoyed but thought was a bit expensive. I have seen people advertise classes on here but it would be good to hear from those who actually attend them to see if they are any good.
I do two different sets of classes, both of which advertise on here, and I would recommend both. They cater to a range of different levels depending on experience, and pretty much every day of the week is covered except for Friday and Saturday. Both offer class block bookings for reduced prices.

Hi KP,
I do Hampden Road yoga, on a Saturday morning with Barbara Pevere. At the Church Hall at the bottom of Hampden Road.
2 classes beginners hatha at 10.15 and Vinyasa at 11.30. I do the vinyasa and have done for a few years. Both classes are excellent , very friendly great teacher and £7 drop in or 5 classes for £30.
I also do Sunday Vinyasa with Franzi (Found her class on this forum) at the Islington Arts and Media school Sunday morning at 10.30 excellent again and a bit physically challenging, strengthening yoga. Again excellent teacher and friendly class. £10 drop in or 10 lessons for £70 , 5 for £40.
It is trial and error and what suits you as . As I have tried other classes from this site and not found them that great.
Hi Sonya - it's really useful to hear from people who have actually tried the classes. Are the Hampden road classes only on a weekend or do they have classes during the week?
Do any or all of these make yoga mats available?I find it very offputting and impracticable that some expect people to cart a yoga mat around.
I go to a wonderful Hatha yoga class on Thursday nights from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in the Platform dance studio on Hornsey Road. They're being run by a lovely lady called Dani while our usual teacher Hannah, who is also really lovely, is on maternity leave. It's a great class, with such a lovely vibe, which I would wholeheartedly recommend. Each week I leave with renewed respect for my body and for yoga. I've been going to these classes since September 2015 and they're the highlight of my week. There are varying rates depending on whether you want to pay for the whole term, buy a 10 class card or pay per class.
If you're interested, the best thing would be to email Dani and let her know Kathryn recommended the class at Platform. Her email address is: danielladessa@hotmail. Whichever class you choose, I wish you a wonderful yoga experience. :)
P.S. There's no class this week and the new term begins on the 10th of March.
