Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Woodland Trust has launched a 'visual petition tool' that enables people to get their messages across about planting more trees to local councillors via a picture.

This web-enabled gizmo created as part of the 'More Trees, More Good' initiative - allows people to create a new and improved 'treed' view in their community, based on the actual landscape.

People simply take a photo of a local street or area that they feel would benefit from more trees and load it onto the Woodland Trust website. Using the interactive click-and-drag design programme people can then 'plant' trees in the image.

Finally, they include a statement about why having more trees in this space is important to them using one or more of the pre-programmed statements, which show the wider benefits we get from trees. People can add in their own statements or messages in a free text space. Once the design is finished, MyView will send the personal MyView straight to the individuals local Councillor via e-mail using a postcode finder.
