Wine Tasting with Tapas at La Pradera

As promised!

Following the success of last month’s wine tasting at La Pradera, we have invited SpaNiche Wines back for another Wine Tasting + Tapas night on 20th August 2013. As per the last time, their excellent wines come from small, mainly family-run wineries in Spain and at the end of the night, if you like; you will be able to buy a bottle or two to take home with you.

The wines that you will taste on the night are:

1.       Ana Principe 2012 (DO Rueda) – The first time this white has been produced and what a success, this will be the welcome drink.

2.       Guzman Pago Blanco (DO Rioja) – A young white wine.

3.       Viña Sastre Rosado 2012 (DO Ribera del Duero) – This refreshing rosé made from Tempranillo is a perfect summertime wine.

4.       Clarete de Luna 2012 (DO Cigales) – A delightful rose wine.

5.       Juan Rojo 2006 (DO Toro) A red wine, made from Tinta de Toro, also known as Tempranillo, with 92 parker points.

There will actually be more to taste as Roland is doing a red wine tasting earlier in the day and has promised to bring some of his other wines for you all to try! He is also willing to substitute one of the whites and roses if the weather is not right for them!  Maybe a nice warming red will be in order rather than a chilled white!  Hopefully not though!

The sun's out, so tonight will be mainly white and rose wines, however, having just carried out a couple of tastings in central London, I do have some reds that will be thrown in at no extra cost!  Please do get in touch with La Pradera to book in advance as space is limited.
