After a successful Spring/Summer of wine courses, I'm now taking reservations for my "Classic Wine Regions of France" wine appreciation course that's starting in the Autumn.
The course starts on 28th September, running for six consecutive Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9:30pm (though probably taking a break for half term in October). It takes place out of my home on Pemberton Road, accommodating up to 12 people.
It's a very convivial and round table affair, trying to take the snobbery out of it but without dumbing down the content. You don't need to bring anything to the table other than a love of wine and desire to learn more with an open mind.
Each session looks at wines from a classic French region and compares them against examples made from the same grape varieties but from around the world. As well as tasting and assessing a flight of six quality wines, each session will also give an understanding of:
The course costs £180 for the whole six weeks, which includes lots of material and of course plenty of excellent wine and snacks. Anyone who misses a week can also sit in on the week they miss in another run of the course, so you needn't worry if there are a couple of sessions you can’t make.
Previous runs of the course have been really well received; you can find testimonials here.

Thanks very much,
Hugo.
