Window shutters: recommendation

We are hoping to get some shutters made for our bay windows and have been quoted just over £300 per m2 by a shop in crouch end. This seems pretty expensive to me but was wondering if anyone could recommend a maker and also give some details of the sort of cost we could expect. We have seen quite a few nice shutters on the ladder so are hopeful of some good advice!

We used http://www.thecaliforniacompany.co.uk for the shutters in our bay. They came to £561.00 with a £84.26 discount from a coupon code, back in 2009.

They're self install so measure carefully but we're very happy with them.

That sounds far more reasonable. Not convinced that I'll have the skills for the installation but I will definitely look into it.

Hi Pipplypig - how did you get on with the shutters?  Did you go with the california company?  I just got a similar quote to yours from an ad in the Metro, with a supposed discount
