Wikipedia on "Trolls"
WIKIPEDIA isn't perfect, but its often a good place to do an initial search on a subject with which one is unfamiliar. I had reason recently to look up their definition of "Troll" which I'd heard about in the past but never really appreciated.
Since the term has only gained currency in the last few years and has changed meaning with the rise of the Internet, it seemed appropriate to turn to an internet dictionary cum encyclopedia for an attempt at a definition.
This is how Wikipedia defines the term (also contains a definition of DNFTT).

Yes, I contributed a little to it before giving up. I happen to think that tourism is a good idea and it should be encouraged, but then I discovered I needed better to understand what was meant by "trolls" and "trolling". Not quite serendipity, but you might know what I mean!
