who clears up dog-shit?
Can someone tell me who exactly (apart from the owners) is responsible for cleaning up dog shit on the streets in Haringey? On Tuesday I slipped on some on this street, and fractured a vertebra; six days later the evidence is still there on the pavement. Unfortunately there is usually some do shit on the street here, and it tends to stay until the rain washes it away. Apart from the danger of accidents like mine, there is the well-know danger to children of toxicariasis. I have never seen Veolia street-sweepers clear it up; but if they're not meant to, who is?

It should be Veolia I believe. See below taken from the Haringey Council website. Sorry to hear about your fall, doubly unpleasant if you landed in this stuff too.
Let us know about dog fouling in your area
If you are aware of a problem area for dog fouling, please report it to our Street Enforcement team, letting us know when and where the problem seems to occur to enable us to target our work.
Residents should not approach irresponsible dog owners directly, and are not expected to give the person's address unless they're already known as a problem owner.

I do not believe Veolia has ever cleared dog fouling in in 24 hours in our area (Tottenham Green). And the 24 hours doesn't start until Veolia acknowledges the report - so if you report turds on a Thursday afternoon they won't be cleared until Monday at the earliest as they don't action reports over the weekend.

Indeed, this is no less serious a concern than any trip hazard and is potentially a much greater risk to health.

I haven't got the energy to go through all that. I know about the legal process & it's long & expensive. Also I'm in pain. If someone else wants to sue, fine.
