Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Lee Valley Olympic White Water Centre opened its doors for the first time yesterday. There's still a few spaces available this weekend so there's a chance make the most of the sunshine this Easter and be among the first to ride the 300m Olympic Standard Competition Course.

If you're not ready to take on the rapids just now, you can still go along and enjoy the excitement whilst watching the first of our rafters put their nerves to the test. The centre's open from 9am!

Sounds fantastic. Here's a site with travel/location info. This venue is the 'only one the public can use before the Games'.
Oops - thanks for adding that Matt. Added them first time around - missed it this time.

And prices if anyone fancies a go canoeing, kayaking or rafting.

None of the this info is particularly easy to find at first. The Lee Valley Authority website can be a little confusing. The LVA will own & run the Water Centre post Olympics, as well as several other sports centres within the valley.
