When Harringay Said no to War Event Attracts the Crowds
An event outside the Salisbury tonight which recreated an anti-war meeting on the same spot 100 years ago attracted a bigger than expected crowd tonight.
The local crowd of about 100 were crammed into the new Salisbury piazza band enjoyed the speeches and the Fist World War period music.
All speakers made period speeches and then linked the currency of their century old messages to current events.
Great to see the new space being used. I look forward to more events in the future.
