These two ladies were here this morning sorting through my upstairs neighbours rubbish. Interesting stuff that they throw out, most of which could be recycled. But they don't bother. And when they do put their rubbish out it's all loosely bagged, ie. boxes etc not squashed, so it takes up lots of room.
After these ladies had had a good look they compacted the rubbish even putting the outside bin bag into the dust bin. They did a better job that my neighbours do.

PS. That glass thing on the wall, (which they took out of the bin) was taken later by some one else. Who needs a green bin with these people about?
Could be useful, if they go through my upstairs neighbours' rubbish (in our shared black bin) they'd find loads of tins and bottles. Is that part of what they collect, at least the metal stuff?
(I'm gearing up to have The Conversation.)
You know this stuff IS worth money. Kids used to go around with carts asking for it, although that was to claim the deposit.
I don't think that they actually took anything despite the fact that some of it looked useful. Clothes and belts, hair things, they just had a good sort through. They didn't bother at all with any paper items in there.
Somebody has just said to me that they are the inspectors from Veolia!
Well that can be done at almost any point up until the paper is recycled...
