Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

What did everyone think of the Family Arts picnic at Railway Fields on Saturday??

The lovely Ania was at Railway Fields running a Family Arts picnic on Saturday, which was a huge success!

Ania would appreciate feedback or any thoughts you may have.

Brilliant creative ideas!

Very simple, but effective ideas that the children loved and the adults were finding any excuse to get involved!

Especially loved the vegetable creatures!

It was great - really fun and well thought out things to do, and was well organised (replacements, clearing stuff away). Extra treat was being in RF on a Saturday! Would certainly come to another and wouldn't have trouble getting my 5 year old along too.
We had a lovely time. Railway Fields is a great location to run art workshops for children, it feels very safe and is a beautiful little oasis away from the traffic of Green Lanes. The session had lots of different craft activites for children to try out that were well thought through and really worked for young children who can't concentrate for too long but are keen to experiment. I loved the standing art frames that enabled children to squirt, flick and roll paint very freely and generally get in a mess. The veg people making activity was also a hit and of course you can't go wrong with a glitter/lentil/glue activity. We would definitely come again.
