Can anyone recommend someone or a company that can weatherproof exterior wood e.g. decking? Thanks Kas

I am from Sweden where many people use oil for their decking (applied in spring) but the problem is the wood turns all-black after a couple of years, plus takes two days to dry. Many people have now switched to (and I would recommend) scrubbing like once year with a hard short-haired brush, water and Grumme Gron Sapa which is an old-fashioned soap you can get from Amazon for example. The decking will get nice and whitish with the years, and the product is ecological and not harmful for children's feet, pets etc. Any "handy-man" could presumably do this.

Thanks Jacob

Useful info but our task involves more than just decking alone. That is why I am asking for recommendation on who might be able to do a proper weatherproofing job. The structure we have includes decking and a balcony and surrounding wood structure and has been up for almost 20 years. We want to clean it and renew the weatherproofing, maybe replace the odd bit of rotting decking, and so are looking for individual or company that can quote for the work.

Thanks, Kas

Hi Kas please contact me on 07871432282 to discuss the details.
