No, I mean there's a particular vogue for it recently, despite this car culture always being evident around here.

I think the solution to the boy racers would be lots more speed cameras, but apparently the money earned in fines goes to central government so there is no financial benefit for the council.

It's also insane that speed cameras have to be yellow so drivers know where the speeding laws might be enforced. With this logic plain clothes police should be obliged to have a blue flashing light on their heads so that any criminals will know that they are being watched.
