Warning: Cash point scammer at big Sainsbury's today

Be careful. A cash point scammer is working at big Sainsbury's today. He targeted my elderly and frail mother today at about 12.30pm. Police have been informed.

He told her the machine wasn't working. Be on alert.

Sorry for my ignorance but how is that a scam. Maybe the person thought it wasn’t working, or just being slack

Thanks for your message. Sorry I wasn't clear. It was definitely a scam. The man waited until she put her pin in, then did the 'it's not working' line and touched the screen. They got £200.
