Just received this about a Wards Corner Fundraiser
Roll Up, Roll Up!
The great WCC winter fundraiser is here, full of dancers, acrobats, performers of all shapes and sizes along with a DJ and some great food. It's not to be missed!
We're fund-raising to cover the costs of the legal challenge we are bringing against Haringey Council's decision to grant permission to Grainger's demolition plans for Wards Corner (see below). Even so admission is only £4 (£3conc.) or more if you're feeling generous, so you can have a great night out, support a local community fight for their livelihood and not even break the bank!
7:30pm Saturday 17th November, Tottenham Chances, 399 High Rd, N17 6QN
Here is the link to the poster (sorry my computer skills don't stretch to me being able to insert it here!!!)

One thing I'm looking forward to, is seeing the performance of the Jerome Experience - the Frenchman Jerome and his drum kit. It's mounted in a revolving frame. Not revolving in plane with the earth, as one might imagine. Perpendicular to the floor. Not something I'd have dreamt up!
I've never seen anything like it, and I've only seen the apparatus/contraption, not the act.
Should be a true extravagancia, as billed.
Yes - The Jerome Experience is a complete sidewinder.
Here's a link to Tottenham's own dancers of Argentinian Tango, Anthony and Lindi from Tango@the room
Fantastic... Tango and Schumann, couldn't see how it would work, but it does...:)
I've heard about the Jerome Experience, but I'm still not sure what to expect...:)
I know it won't disappoint...
Cheers...
Great idea, promoting some local talents as well as performers from further afield, in the true spirit of cultural diversity, acceptance and mutual respect...
Here's to a fun night...
