Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Wanted - late 50s/60s white convertible Mercedes for my wedding day!
Hi all - we are gtting married in September and I would love to be driven in my dream car, a classic merc (an example to google is 1965 Mercedes Benz 230sl convertible), ideally in white or cream. But I cannot find one anywhere!
I have, however, seen one driving up and down Green Lanes from time to time and try as I have to track it down in our area, I have not seen it since I got engaged. So I thought I'd try this network - do you know the car? Do you know its driver? Do you think they would be willing to be hired for a couple of hours to get me to islington town hall one Saturday in September?! (if you do not know this specific car - any leads to the hire of a white or cream classic convertivble merc would be gratefully received!)

Thanks Cara and Hugh. I have sent off for quotes from both companies but am not holding my breath - as you say, the W prefix on anything is generally pushing things out of our price range, so we are begging, borrowing and stealing most things for the day. I'll let you know if they offer a decent quote though!
