For a few years now some folk on HoL have been asking why it's so difficult to buy a remembrance poppy in Harringay. So I got in touch with the British Legion last year to ask how a community would go about getting involved and making poppies available for sale.
I spoke with a chap called George Mould who evidently remembered our conversation. He's just been in touch to ask if any members of the Harringay community would like to be involved this year.
I suppose we'd need someone who'd be willing to stand in as a local contact point and others who would like to be involved selling the poppies.
So is any of that 2012/2014 interest still in the air?

That's great, David. You've clearly been hiding your poppies under a bushell!
Thanks for your call earlier. As I said to you, I'd be delighted if you'd act as the Harringay co-oridination point. How should people get in touch with you?
As discussed, I wrote to George last night to ask about stationing some points within local shops and unless he offers any hurdles, this sounds like a key part of any Harringay approach.
I'ev already heard back from Andy Newman at the GRA too and no doubt you guys will be in touch.
