Want to borrow a log-splitter please

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone owned a log-splitter and whether you might consider letting us borrow it for a short while.

When we moved into our house on the ladder there were three dead or dying trees in the garden that we had cut down. We now need to store the large logs as smaller, burnable chunks of wood. We've been trying to rent a log-splitter but all the major stores tell us that they've stopped hiring them out due to health and safety issues. We are reluctant to buy one as we just have this one log splitting job to do.

Could anyone help?
