Waitrose site in Enfield closing

We get a weekly delivery from Waitrose - we live about 20 min by bike from the next branch and 10 min at foot from the nearest Sainsburies, so ordering online saves us a lot of time. But two weeks ago, we learned from our driver that Waitrose is closing the Enfield site and firing about 500 people. The company took that decision only out of avarice - the site has much lower rent than the two other sites in the West and South of London. We are hugely disappointed because the chief reason why we order from Waitrose is because they have a good reputation as an employer. Both my wife and I wrote to the company, and their responses were really bad. We thought we will raise the issue here -- many others from the area order from Waitrose, for similar reasons like ourselves.
