Volunteers Needed for Finsbury Park Community Garden

Sherrida of the Finsbury Park Community Garden has circulated the following call for volunteers:

Interested in gardening, growing vegetables, wildlife areas, Beth Chatto gravel gardens?

Come to our first meeting after the summer as we prepare for the autumn season.

We aim to make the community garden into a sustainable, organic and low water usage model for the local community demonstrating what is possible from a window box to a patio garden, waterless garden, Mediterranean garden(low water) and fruit trees, adding to our wildlife and vegetable growing areas.

Friendly group, gentle exercise, all ages welcome. 

Saturday 1st September, 10am - 1pm. Meet behind the Manor House Lodge just on the left inside the Manor House Gates by Manor House tube. Strong shoes and suitable clothing advisable.
