"Violent Incident" in Kimberley Gardens
Does anyone know what happened in Kimberley Gardens tonight? We were somehow oblivious until we noticed crime scene photography flashes, but there's crime tape outside our house around part of the street near the St Ann's Road end, and blood on the snow in the middle of the street. Police said there was a fight around 9pm, but not much more. Did anyone see or hear anything?

Have no idea what happened but we think somebody from no. 23 was taken to hospital. The police and investigation team were coming in and out of the house til about 2:30 am and taking pictures.

The police knocked at our house at about 10pm (we live at number 90 and the incident happened right outside). Apparently someone was stabbed in the face and managed to stagger up towards Green Lanes. We can't believe that it happened right outside our front door and we didn't see or hear a thing. The blood is still all over the snow, which as you can imagine, is quite unpleasant. We haven't heard what happened to the person who was injured. The policewoman didn't know anything more than this at the time.

Julie, we're at 83a (the funny little house just opposite you) and we didn't hear or see anything either bc we had music on, though the little dog who we're looking after this weekend started to go a bit nuts for no apparent reason around 9pm. I guess that must have been why! Funnily enough the police didn't knock on our door, and we didn't notice until we saw the camera flashes while getting ready for bed. When my partner went out to ask what was up, they just said it was a fight but everyone was ok... which I found hard to believe given the kit they had out in the street! It's unsettling, esp having blood all down the road, but more than anything I was wondering whether it was random or between people who knew each other. Sounds like it's hard to say.

Just so everyone knows - it seems like this may have been a random and quite serious stabbing, though we've not had any precise info yet from the police. If there are police reading this, please inform residents as much as possible so we can take precautions. I'm pretty nervous about it - everyone should be careful.
