View Haringey in Recovery through Photography at the V&A

This month, visitors to one of the country’s most famous museums will be able to view Haringey in recovery from the riots through the eyes of people in recovery from alcohol and drug misuse.  

Haringey Advisory Group on Alcohol‘s (HAGA) Photography Project running for one and half years, encourages budding photographers, who are service-users of Haringey’s drug, alcohol and recovery services, to look at their environment on themed photographic walks and try an often completely new medium for expression.  Learning to document their own lives and that of their community through photography helps to increase participant’s confidence, self-esteem and motivation: all essential resources for people during such a challenging, life-changing time. 

Tottenham Takeover, a late night event at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 28^th March 2014 from 18.30pm, will showcase the highlights of this creative outpouring.
