Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Using Windows 7. I have about 20 shortcuts in Favourites for internet connections. Almost every day when I click on a shortcut I get a message saying " Problem with shortcut. The target " " of this internet shortcut is not valid " When I look at the properties of the shortcut the address URL ( www. etc ) has vanished. This seems to happen on a random basis: it's not the same shortcut every time and other shortcuts still work. I can usually get to the site I want by going through my History drop-down list but why are these shortcuts being emptied ?

I have McAfee firewall and virus protection.

It's a "feature" of Windows 7.

No, I'm joking. But Microsoft hasn't said it's a bug either. Even though they offer a fix.

But if you hate sunshine, blue skies, long days, pleasant summer evenings and fresh cherries in the shops, then you might want to spend time risking the advice of this hacker.

But these are all about desktop shortcuts. I'm only losing shortcut URLs in Favourites. All my desktop shortcuts work, even those I haven't used in months/ever.
