Update of Anwterp Arms Community Project.

For those who have been following the progress of the Antwerp Arms Pub in Tottenham. Negotiations with the current owners of the pub are ongoing, however the AAA are not  in a position to make a firm offer until we know if our application for an SIB (Social Investment Business) grant is successful. We are on a list that has been reduced from 150 applications to 15, so it's looking very promising but not guaranteed by any means. We met with the SIB team on Wednesday and we should know either way by October. If our bid is successful the funds will be added to the £170,000 pledged by the community through the shares scheme, which will be enough for the AAA to buy the pub, carry out repairs, buy stock, working capital etc. To find out more please visit http://www.antwerparms.co.uk.
