The Burnt Part Boys musical is a great story about a group of teenagers living under the shadow of tragic mining accident, which claimed the lives of their fathers ten years prior. That sounds sad but the show is gutsy, funny and feisty. There is a magic small band in the corner and the staging is top class. It beats anything getting rave reviews at Edinburgh currently and it is all ages i.e 10+. Lastly it is a one act piece, so not too long. Running until 3 Sep. Enjoy parktheatre.co.uk

I totally agree with you.
I saw the very first performance and thought it was a belter.
Very much put me in mind of Stand By Me and has songs that kind of grab you in the way some of those in Le Mis do. And the sound of those singers! Wow!
The staging is amazing and it was only after I read a review of it that I realised just how clever it was.
I've since listened to a couple of the tracks from it on You Tube and loved them. Can't wait for the soundtrack to come out.
I will see it again - possible more than once - before the run ends. Shame they cannot extend the run, because I'd love to bring some friends to see it as well.
