Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I was in the garden this afternoon and at one point idly thought that the child shouting in the distance sounded like a peacock.

A little later, there was a penhen (female peacock, less fancy looking) sitting on the roof of a house nearby looking like a massive mutant pigeon/starling hybrid.

We live off West Green Road near Downhills Park. I can't imagine where it would have come from - it's keepers haven't clipped it's wings by the looks of it.

I heard loads of gulls today too. What next, flamingoes on Duckett's Common?
