Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm looking for some advice and encouragement on how to raise the
profile of this unlawful conversion which took place three years ago.
Successive planning applications, a Public Inquiry by the Planning
Inspectorate and an enforcement notice from Haringey have all ruled
against the conversion but nearly one year after Haringey wrote to tell
me that enforcement would take place nothing has happened. I've tried
phoning and e-mailing Patrick Sullivan - but no reply. I wrote to David
Lammy via his web-site and though I got a thank you there has been
nothing since. I'm beginning to feel like a lone voice in the
wilderness!

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a lot of experience in this area and have sent you a PM to dialogue offline. This type of delay is not unusual though - see my own experiences of 54 Effingham here. It is not unusual for enforcement to take 3 years or longer to actually bring about a reconversion. But I can give you lots of advice if you'd like.
How depressing. I'd have been jubilant with the result you got - must be gutting to have seen nothing happen since.

I don't have any great ideas except to keep on at it, and keep records of your emails/letters. It would be worth contacting your local councillors (whose details are on the site) and asking for their advice and help.

Also, I'm sorry to say that Patrick Sullivan has left Planning. Seeing as he seemed to be the one person in that department whose name was mentioned positively that seems like very bad news. I'd suggest starting off by emailing the generic planning email address - I did that the other day and got a reply fairly quickly.

Sorry not to be of more help! I hope others on here will have better ideas. But don't lose hope. Someone posted the other day about a similar case to this where work had actually begun on undoing the illegal works (it was Bushy, see his post above).
Thanks for your words of encouragement everyone.

Bushy - I can't see a PM in my mailbox (?)

I sent enforcement an e-mail asking who would be dealing with the case if Patrick had departed only to get a cc reply addressed to, you've guessed it, Patrick Sullivan asking him to respond to my query! So perhaps he still is at Haringey - they certainly seem to think so.
Strange - will send one again now.
I have just spoken to Patrick Sullivan. He explained that he has moved from Planning Enforcement and is now working as a housing officer (still with Haringey, still in our area). However, there are a few cases where there is an ongoing prosecution where he is still in charge. This is one of them. In fact, he said he is going to update the complainants today so expect to hear something shortly. Please do post on HOL and let us know the latest.
Thanks Bushy

I've just had a very reassuring e-mail from Patrick in which he tells me that they are gearing up for litigation against the owners.
Write to Panning Chair Cllr Peacock or her Deputy Cllr Dodds - enforcement should take culprit to Court for contempt.
