Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We are experiencing a problem with the digital reception for most channels, including BBC1/2.

We have tried to work through every step possible to find a solution but to no avail.

Is anyone in the same situation in the Ladder and, more specifically around Beresford Road ?

Thanks for any info.

I think this might be same problem we are having in Hornsey. 4G mobile phone masts are now in our area and Freeview TV reception is lost or very poor. Some people have received a card from at800 www.at800.tv and some have been given filters to sort it. However Freeview and at800 sites both claim TV signal in London is so strong there will be no problems! I got a card today to report problems. I had emailed last week. No reply so far.
Copy of card from at800 if it helps
Just got this email reply from enquiries@at800.tv
Dear Lesley

Thank you for your email. We are sorry for the delay in response, we are currently experiencing an unusually high number of contacts.
We are sending postcards to all households in areas that may experience disruption to their Freeview due to 4G at 800 MHz. If you live in an area we believe is more likely to experience disruption, we will send you a free filter in advance of 4G at 800 MHz base stations being switched on as well.
However as you watch Freeview on a communal aerial there is no guarantee that a personal filter will resolve the matter. I would suggest to contact your landlord or housing department responsible for the aerial as we may need to fit a communal filter in the future.
At this moment in time either type of filter would not provide a benefit to you. The problems with Freeview you are experiencing will not be due to the rollout of 4G services at 800 MHz, as the devices that will broadcast the signal are not yet activated in your area. Any 4G services operating in your area will currently be running at 1800 MHz and therefore will not interfere with your Freeview services.
To try and resolve many Freeview issues a retune may be of benefit. As 4G at 800 MHz cannot be causing your difficulties we would suggest you contact Digital UK for further advice regarding this. Digital UK is the entity set up to deal with all Freeview and digital television issues and as such have a much larger scope of support than we do. You can access their website using the link below:
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk
If you do experience any Freeview problems when the masts are activated, we advise that you call us in order for us to ascertain whether the problems are related to 4G at 800 MHz. You can call on 0333 31 31 800, charged at the national local rate or 0808 13 13 800 which is a free call from landlines. Mobile phone charges may vary. We are open to receive calls between 7am and 10pm Monday to Friday or 9am until 5pm at weekends.
If you have any further questions or queries please feel free to visit our website www.at800.tv where you will find a great deal of information you may find useful.

Kind regards,
Ian D at800 Support Team
