The All Good Bookshop will be offering tutoring of Maths, Biology or Chemistry at GCSE or A Level.

The sessions will cost just £5 as part of our commitment to the local community.

We are having a drop-in taster afternoon where you can come along meet the tutors and talk about your needs.

Saturday 2nd November 2-4pm is the drop in.

Our tutors are:

SUE - Sue is an extremely experienced teacher and lecturer, specialising in teaching Biology and Chemistry. She has worked both in Further and Higher Education, starting her career teaching adults at the College of North East London for 10 years. She spent 15 years working at Birkbeck, University of London, teaching the equivalent of A level Biology and Chemistry mainly to students aiming to move onto degree courses in Life Science. The Director of the Life Sciences Programme, Dr Paul King, at Birkbeck wrote of Sue

Sue is an excellent teacher, able to deliver both the chemistry and biology content of the curriculum admirably to the very diverse group of students taking the course. The feedback of students to Sue's teaching is always very positive, and shows that she is a much-liked and appreciated member of the teaching team…

Sue has also has also worked as a private tutor, giving one to one lessons to A level and GCSE students.

She has now pretty much retired form teaching but wishes to use her skills to support local students achieve their goals when studying biology or chemistry at GCSE, A Level or Year 1 at university.

NICHOLAS - Dr Nicholas Lambrou studied mathematics at Imperial College, London. He has been a lecturer all his life, teaching at all levels of education in the UK and many other countries including Greece, India, Uzbekistan, Oman and Sri Lanka. At the University of Westminster, he moved from Numerical Analysis to Systems Analysis to Project Management, and he is now an ambassador for the Responsible Project Management movement. Nick has a passion for teaching mathematics, which he thinks is easy to grasp once you have the right guidance.

I can teach/guide/tutor at any school level, one-to-one or in small groups.
