Trust in social media up 75%; will someone lend me ten grand?

New data just published by global PR agency Edelman suggests that trust in social media is up 75%.

The report says that media generally is the only sector in which trust has increased. Elsewhere trust levels are plummeting.

The past year has seen a record decline in trust in government. There have been double digit drops in business trust in seveeral mature markets and even trust in NGOs has declined.

But I'm social media, me. So will someone lend me that ten grand, please.
