Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Trinity Grammar School Wood Green – calling all former pupils!

Trinity Grammar School existed on Bounds Green Road, behind the Civic Centre in Wood Green until 1962 when it relocated to White Hart Lane. This an appeal to former pupils and relatives (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles!) who have an association with the school to get in contact, even if they have now moved out of the area.

There is a newly activated website with lots of information (photos, memories and stories) about the school and former pupils, which will be of interest – see: http://www.trinitygrammarschoolwoodgreen.org.uk/  And there is a Facebook group that is growing in membership: https://www.facebook.com/groups/386804812327622 .

Trinity School: Not sure how best to contact you; I have an indirect interest in the school as my mother was a pupil at the school in the 1930's: are there any records from that period which are publicly acessible, given that it's less than 100 years ago?

Peter

Peter,

There is some information about the history of the school and some photos from the 1930s on the website: http://www.trinitygrammarschoolwoodgreen.org.uk/ . The more official records of the school are held at Bruce Castle Museum, but you would need to make an appointment with the archivist to access them, which I guess is not possible until restrictions are lifted.

Colin

Colin,
I went to this school when it was Parkwood Girls School. I can tell you, I most definately got a Grammar School Education there, but sadly, for one year only. The implementation of the 'comprehensive' system, resulted in the school closure and I reluctantly transferred to another school.
