Hiya. My name is Nick and I’m a dad and a trainee child and adolescent psychotherapist moving into my fourth year at a place called Terapia. So far I’ve completed a toddler observation (beyond my own!) and am currently working in schools as a psychotherapist.
For the next stage of my training, I need to do something called a “Mother and Baby” observation. This involves me observing a mum and baby for an hour a week for around 18 months from just after birth (ideally birth between January and April). I know it's a bit of an ask given the craziness of the pandemic but I hope you would consider it (or know anyone else who would be possibly interested).
Mothers who have taken part previously have described the experience as rewarding as it allows them an opportunity to reflect upon the many changes that occur during the first year of their baby’s life
I’ve got a full DBS check and am more than happy to answer any questions you have about the process.
