Traffic disruption on Green Lanes?
Does anyone know what's happening on Green Lanes? Seems as if all its traffic has suddenly been sent down Allison Road...

There was an accident a couple of hours ago near the bottom of Beresford - which they've blocked off.

It happened in front of the store while we were in there working. If anyone has any information on whether the critically injured man made it it would be greatly appreciated. We watched them work CPR on him for a good 10 minutes, and once they finally stopped and loaded him into the ambulance it was difficult to tell the situation. Another man involved hurt his leg quite badly but was concious the whole time and still when he was taken away.
There were 6 ambulances including an emergency trauma response team.

Hi, I was the lady in the car with the 2 children right behind and it was my nephew who stayed with the man with the injured leg all the time. The police phoned him last night to ask a question and told him that both men were still alive. If I hear any more ill let you know and if you could please do the same. One of the men was in a very bad way so please god he pulls through ok.

Hi Deborah. Sorry for the late reply but thanks so much for this information. We had been so worried and was good to hear that he may have made it. This confirms to us at least that he left the accident site in a stabilised condition. I still haven't seen any mentions online/the news etc. What miracle workers the ambulance medics are. Praying that there is more good news soon and both make a healthy recovery soon.

For those who are concerned, the man who came off his motorbike passed away on the 27th. I had contacted the police to ask about him and they called me today.
Very sad, RIP. Be careful on the roads x
