Traffic consultations for 'Traffic Management Orders'

Hi all,

I am the Chair for the Strawbridge Court Residents Association. We objected to the rumble strips as part of the 'West Green Traffic safety scheme', plus raised additional concerns and made additional suggestions.

This was back in perhaps November, then no one who objected (we objected as a whole and separately) has heard anything back.

Then, this morning I received a call from the Council stating they are removing the rumble strips, plus restricting the times that works can take place. They wanted me to email to say that if those objections were addressed then our residents association was satisfied.

He also said that it was only after that part of the consultation, when the TMO is then created that the council will then reply to objectors. This seems wrong to me, but from reading the brief stuff I can find online, I'm not sure!

Anyone who knows a bit more about TMO's and the statutory consultation process that can advise me on where we stand? I do  not want to stop the scheme in it's entirety as many parts of the scheme are good ideas, but the process here seems off and I don't like the smell of BS that was emanating from the phone during my chats today...
