Tottenham Slow Motion Car Crash – Top Down versus Bottom Up

No - not another Haringey police chase gone wrong, but an interesting commentary on regen.net of regeneration in Tottenham.

At the weekend, the Our Tottenham movement held their first meeting attempting to wrest back control of their area for local people.

The regen.net article offers an interesting analysis of the interplay between a top down approach to redevelopment and a bottom-up one. In particular it raises some tough questions about the role of the football club in the area and appears to conclude that in general it's bad news fro the neighbourhood.
