I'm a bit confused about the branding - Tottenham Music Festival and Tottenham Winer Festival seem to mean pretty much the same thing. Soo, I'd kinda missed out in the music bit rather - Buuuuut, we don't want to worry about that - either way it looks like a cluster of events well worth checking out.
Tottenham Local Talent Music at Tottenham Chances
Electro Swing at the Arc
Put your dancing shoes on and climb aboard. This floating art gallery plays host to the wildly popular Electro Swing Club featuring Future Swing Stories and the live tropical sounds of Younger Zen.
Tottenham Winter Festival on Tottenham Green
Irrepressible funky performance from the "impossible not to enjoy" Brass Volcanoes. Plus the uplifting choral joys of the Tottenham Community Choir with a heart-warming carol sing-a-long. All this and a festive craft and food market to spice up your festive season.
Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm.
Folk at Bruce Castle Museum
An afternoon of new Folk in the tranquil setting of Bruce Castle Museum. Curated by one of London’s top Folk promoters, enjoy live performances from The Keepsakes and One-Eyed Wayne
Thanks to Hornsey-based band One Eyed Wayne for making sure this was stuck right under my nose! (And I forgive you for thinking HoL is Haringey Council run!)
And to show there's no hard feelings, some links:
And here's a clip of their music featuring "Cajon, melodica, mandolin, harmonica and acoustic guitars providing a foot tapping soundtrack to dark tales of serial killers, pyromaniacs, losers, boozers and small time bruisers."
