Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

a quite small female tortoiseshell cat has been visiting our garden for the last six weeks or so.

We recently noted that she is (we believe!) pregnant.

Can anyone recognize this cat, or does anyone know the owner (if she has one)?

If she’s a stray cat, we wouldn’t mind helping her out, but would welcome any advice / suggestions on how to support a pregnant cat (not our core expertise unfortunately!)

Thank you so much in advance

If she's being very friendly, then she might be trying to find a safe space to give birth in (your home).

Give her all the support you can, let her in your home, and make a little den for her. Then try and get her to the vet if you can before she gives birth; if not, be sure to get her and the kittens checked and spayed when they are born.

There is a big feral cat population around here.

There is a neutering scheme called C4 which works on donation. I got my stray cat which I adopted

spayed at Goddards Vets through that scheme a few years ago. Mum and kittens will need doing.

You could put a cheap collar on her with a bit of paper wrapped round with your details. See if am owner calls you, as she may have one nearby.
