Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Are there any small appliance repair shops left in this part of London who might be able to replace the battery on my electric toothbrush?  I've found an online service, but if I can find somewhere local that would be even better.

They are sealed units and require specialist equipment to reseal them.

Unless you're doing a lot then it's not worth the investment in the equipment.

I've had this particular unit for over ten years and it still works well (there's a spare brush which is charging fine) whereas a similar model I bought my son last year packed up within months, so I'm minded to shell out £20 to change the battery at toothbrushfixer.co.uk

Sounds like a good option and saves something going to landfill.

We're less green these days as a £0.008 component has failed, so we junk the product.

And everything seems increasingly shoddy and designed to pack up - I bought a very expensive electric kettle last time in a bid to stop having to replace them every two years. It lasted three, but then the element packed up and could not be replaced...
