Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Today is the 113th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

One of the survivors, who claimed to have been in the last lifeboat lowered, was certified as living on St Ann's Road in 1911, the year before the disaster. She shared the house with two other stewards, but I have no evidence of whether they too were on the Titanic.

Nice find. Thanks.

Wow. This is so moving. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for this, Stephen.  Utterly poignant and moving.  My mother was a stewardess on the P&O ships in the 1930s and often spoke of the camaraderie between the crew.  This poor lady would have been traumatised for her entire life by the tragedy.

Ow that’s amazing. Thanks for the share
