Well as Bob Dylan sang, times are changing. The easing of lock down gives more freedom to meet inside with others. The rest, we hope!
Likewise, the Gospel Centre Food Bank is planning change too. We are increasingly serving outside even in the rain, thanks to the help of our gazebo. We are also in the process of moving to opening on a Saturday morning from a Sunday as from the start of July. We also are looking to make ourselves more available to help our visitors with information and signposting to external support services. Of course many have been closed or only accessible online. Consequently, we are interested to hear from people who are prepared to commit to volunteering for at least two sessions in a month as well as likely an hour or so follow up work per month, quite possibly in usual work hours to help both generally with the food bank , but also to help roll out our new support. Please get in touch via our email address and you will be sent a brief application form to complete.
Meanwhile, I am making this recent report available to view more about food poverty.
