Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Time for conveyancing local authority searches to come back

Hi, I'm currently trying to sell a property on the ladder.

I've been told that because of the current pandemonium in the property market, the time taken for the standard local authority searches to come back has gotten quite long. I've heard 6 weeks banded around.

Does anyone recently bought/sold in Harringey and know how long it's taken?

Thanks,

Rob

Hey Rob,

I just completed on a flat on Green Lanes and it took 10 weeks for our local searches to come back (but then that was during lockdown when nothing was moving). Hope it happens a lot quicker for you.

Thanks for your reply.

10 weeks, ouch! Good thing the stamp duty deadline was extended then.

I've just found out that my buyer waited for the survey & mortgage application to come back before starting the searches, so looks like I have a fair wait ahead of me before we can exchange.
